Every business wants to grow, but the old tricks of paid advertising and producing a radio ad most likely aren’t going to cut it anymore. Here’s a Top 10 List we created with the best business marketing campaigns that won’t cost you an arm and leg.

1. Write a blog post with relevant consistent content with a highly viral headline. 94% of posts seen are never clicked. Tim Ferris has some of the best articles, super specific and broken down to the smallest of detail.

2. Giveaways. I’m one that likes to do marketing as cheap as possible, but giveaways can do two things, grab subscribers and find new customers. A few months back during a Paleo Challenge, I found Paleo Nick, a culinary ninja turned Crossfitter turner mediaprenuer. For New Years he gave away a $500 blender. I didn’t win, but I’m willing to bet his numbers jumped at least 30%.

3. Make a top 10 list, pick a topic through your analytics that has your highest viewer rate.

4. Comment on similar users pages/comments. Go To Quora and search topics similar to yours and give your feedback. This is a not a ‘go sell your product’ move, rather an opportunity to display your opinion on a subject and becoming the authority to those on this particular thread.

5. Add a subscribe link to your social profiles

6. Add Disqus to your site, it’s a free comment system.

7. Write guest blog posts. It seems like every time I check out Danny Boice’s facebook, he’s written another guest blog post. Danny, CTO of Speek, reaches out to different editors with a post already written and gauges their interest. If they say no, he goes down the line and finds a fit.

8. Post an image of yourself on facebook with a link to your signup form, Noah Kagan, leadman at AppSumo does this a few times a year. Yields him staggering growth numbers.

9. Create an event or meetup at your office.

10. Find an awesome videographer and create a viral video. Carry Norfolk has done a tremendous job at producing videos.
