Running an event is hard enough. Here’s my list of 7 (or so) must use event tools when preparing and running your event.
Google Docs. Multiuser access to every piece of data you need for your event
Tito. Event registration tool that cares about your event and sends you ticket sales quick
Lanyrd. Discover more events. Get noticed outside of your city and make a big splash when you bring in outsiders.
MailChimp. Collect emails from everyone who attends, send them reminders and follow-up information before, during and after your event
The Social Combo. Facebook, make an event page. This could generate the majority of your buzz
Twitter, create a hashtag and use it religiously
Email and a Cell Phone? Yeap! At the end of the day, stick with the old standards. Cold calling/emailing will give you true shots and enticing those on your wishlist.
Twitterfall. Live tweets with your event hashtag
Square. Sell swag at your events. Using Square, you can sell hoodies, stickers and shirts at your event and not have to worry about cash.
