Lucien, who is now validating a growler pit stop, Crafty’s

Startup Nerd. We’ve rolled that into Hatch

Show Notes and 13 Steps:

1. Determine the audience you are targeting. For example, The Fit Petite – demographic is more than likely female, 18-40 interested in fitness and fashion.

2. Market your post to that demo

3. Don’t be everything to everyone, focus on the topics and interests you enjoy and are good at, then capitalize your blog posts as such

4. Have the same look on website, email, and Facebook page. Include the logo to become branded.

5. Ask people for their email. Have an email database and do regular follow ups, for example a weekly recap of hot posts or events
6. When corresponding with vendors, ask for what you want. For example, ask for product/payment in exchange for blog posts. Your time and talents are just as valuable as their product/services and you should treat them as such.

7. Ask for help! Build relationships with people that can help you. Use your own business/personal network and ask for services from people. Such as web developers, programers, product testers.

8. Ask people to repost and ask people to refer you

9. Post regularly and post to forums/boards/groups with common interests in your site.

10. State your purpose on your site/post

11. use your own networks of LinkedIn, Facebook, etc

12. Use video

13. Attend events/host events
